About the event

Stylin’ 2025 – Fi Wi Roots. Fi Wi Culture. is a dynamic celebration of Jamaican heritage and the enduring legacy of cultural icon, Miss Lou. Presented by the Louise Bennett-Coverley Heritage Council in partnership with the City of Lauderhill, this two-night event will take place on September 20 and 21 at the Lauderhill Performing Arts Center. Honoring Miss Lou’s 106th birthday, Stylin’ 2025 showcases the vibrant expressions of Jamaica’s identity through fashion, music, comedy, and traditional folk performances.

Audiences will be captivated by a fashion showcase featuring award-winning designer Hope Wade (Hope Wade Designs, NYC), the mother-daughter duo Kimberley and Maisie McNaught (Kulture Klothes), and emerging designer Camila Nina-Simone Davis (Bad Gyal Brukins). The evening also features the musical brilliance of Eugene Grey and his band with vocalist Yeshka, traditional folk performances by the Tallawah Mento Band and the Jamaica Folk Revue, and comedic skits by Sophia Nicholson and Ricky Rowe.…
